Mudge/Gould To Face Khan/Chaloner In $30,000 SDA Maryland Club Open Final

October 12, 2013 -  Top seeds and defending champions Damien Mudge and Ben Gould swept into the final round of the $30,000 Maryland Club Open, the first full-ranking stop on the SDA 2013-14 schedule with a straight-set victory this evening over Yvain Badan and Manek Mathur, who had pressed Mudge/Gould to a fifth game in the finals of this event a year ago. In the bottom-half semi between two teams each of which had posted five-game quarterfinal wins, Imran Khan and Mark Chaloner held off Chris Walker and Raj Nanda in yet another route-goer, 15-13 15-12 8-15 3-15 15-10.
