World Squash Day Letter To Clubs

To all clubs participating in World Squash Day (Sat 20th Oct)
First of all, thanks for taking part in what should be a great day, which will not only be an opportunity to promote squash locally, but also to send a big message to the IOC about the worldwide support for Squash's bid to be included in the 2020 Olympics.
Here's a few pointers about the day:
1. We need a score
Remember you're taking part in the world's biggest team event. Your players should play for Team SQUASH or Team 2020, each match is one game first to 20 points (sudden death at 19-all), with each match worth one point in your overall score.
So if you have 40 players, 20 matches, and Team Squash win 17 of them, your score is 17-3.
Tip: If you're not sure how to split your players into the two teams, you can always just pair them off into roughly equal standards, and whoever wins the spin will be playing for Team Squash
We know some of you will have adapted the format - which is fine - but we do need a score reflecting how many pairs of players took part in your event.
To enter your score, go to WorldSquashDay.com and hit the big red "Enter your score" button.
There will be a running total plus a list of clubs and scores received as the day progresses.
2. Take some photos
Please try to take as a minimum a group photo with all the players, holding a World Squash Day or Back the Bid poster, with some indication of the club and country. Do try to get some 'interesting' photos too !
Upload your photos to the World Squash Day facebook page (linked with a big button from the main site).
With so many clubs involved there's a danger of being inundated, so please only upload your best photos.
3. Write a report
If you can write a little summary of your event that will be great. You can add it to the Facebook page with your photos, or post it onto the WSD site (you guessed it, hit the big red button that says "Post your report").
4. Tweet about it
If you use Twitter, please post updates with the #WorldSquashDay hashtag - we'll have a special page which collects and displays all of these.
5. Videos
If you have any videos, upload them to YouTube with a keyword of "WorldSquashDay" (please don't post on Facebook, they're hard for us to use from there).
6. Invite your local media and be sure to let them have a report and picture after the event.
7. Above all … Have Fun!
