- Canada’s men’s and women’s teams were each in action twice yesterday and claimed all four dual-matches in three-love fashion.

Both squads beat Guatemala and Colombia by three-zip match scores, with the most significant win likely the men’s encounter with Colombia.

In that match, Andrew Schnell toughed out an 11-9 in the fourth win at #3 over Javier Castilla, leaving it up to Shahier Razik to deal with the hot PSA player and Pan Am singles gold medalist Miguel Rodriguez. The veteran Razik rose the occasion, scoring an 11-7 11-7 11-5 win.

In the women’s match versus Colombia, top-Canadian Miranda Ranieri won the key match against Silvia Angulo 11-5 in the fourth to cinch it for Team Canada.
