Qualifying Complete In PSA $6,000 Madison, Wisconsin Open by Damon Bourne
October 26, 2011 - Very entertaining matches tonight.
Dave Letourneau def Khaled Ghoniem 11-3, 11-2, 11-5
Dave did not let Khaled get in front of him knowing that Khaled's shot
making was going to be a problem to deal with from behind.
Jamie Macaulay def Shahjahan Khan 9-11, 11-7, 11-4, 11-6
Jamie was surprised in the first at how fast this 16 year old was and
how hard he could hit the ball. The Scot made some un-called-for errors
as a result and lost a tight first game. Jamie used experience and
patience to wear down Shah and took it in four.
Mark Heather def. Robert Downer 6-11, 11-8, 8-11, 11-6, 11-8
Highly entertaining match with the graying veteran eeking out another 5 gamer.
Tense. Very tense. LP wins in 5 ridiculous games played, for the most
part, in front of the service line. No back wall necessary. Excellent
retrieving by both players. Mehmund hits hard and went toe to toe with
the Scot right up until the end.
