Bay Club San Francisco/Bay Club Marin is currently accepting applications for a full time Assistant Squash Professional. We are looking for motivated team players comfortable working in a structured environment in a thriving resort-like racquet and athletic Club. Our members provide our Club with a dedicated clientele, and we encourage a strong customer service focus in our team. The Assistant Squash Pro will help the Squash Director in expanding one of the best squash programs on the West Coast.

Position Summary:

The Assistant Squash Pro will provide evaluation of client ability and deliver safe and professional squash lessons that are client based and help achieve stated goals. Squash Pros are responsible for achieving personal revenue and session goals. Pros are required to provide the highest level of customer service and hospitality to members, guests and fellow employees.
Essential Functions:
• Squash sales and delivery while improving client retention
• Develop individual squash sessions based upon client’s abilities, health, and goals
• Teach lessons, clinics and camps to adults and children
• Participate in squash leagues and tournaments
• Track each client’s squash sessions
• Conduct one new member session per month
• Arrive punctually for all scheduled appointments
• Submit accurate and timely payroll: update payroll sheet daily
• Assist in the development, implementation and marketing of innovative squash individual and group programs
• Maintain an average monthly workload of a minimum of 25 paid squash lessons per week (5 lessons per day) pro rated for part time pros.
• Assist with the coaching of the Junior Squash Program
• Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate
• Active participation in events, programs, meetings and training
• Supervise club Round Robins
• Supervise Challenge Court
• Assist with Membership Sales
• Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response
• Assist with special club projects, events and promotions as requested
• Keep current with national/world squash programs, initiatives and events
• Actively assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the squash lobby and club; enforce squash lobby and club policies
• Schedule varies and requires weekend and holiday hours, evening and day shifts
Squash Pros will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• Minimum U.S Squash Level 2 (or equivalent) teaching certification
• Minimum squash skills of 6.0/PSA
• Competitive playing experience at national level an asset
• Knowledge of or participant in US College Squash
• Minimum 2 years’ experience providing private squash lessons/clinics for adults and children
• Ability to analyze needs, and motivate adults and children
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and anticipate needs
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Confident coach and dependable team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional appearance and friendly manner
• Proficient in a PC/Windows environment
