- Local hero Max Lee successfully retained his Crocodile Challenge Cup title when he beat Malaysian Muhd Asyraf Azan in today's final of the PSA World Tour Challenger 10 squash event at the Hong Kong Squash Centre.

The Hong Kong national champion had to overcome compatriot Dick Lau, the 2009 champion, in the semi-finals before reaching the second Crocodile final and the seventh Tour final of his career.

The other semi was also a battle between two nationals - in which third seed Azan finally prevailed in a 101-minute marathon when unseeded Malaysian Ivan Yuen was forced to retire at match-ball down in the fifth with severe cramp.

Showing no signs of his ordeal 24 hours earlier, 23-year-old Azan took the opening game in the final.

But Lee, also 23 but ranked more than 20 places higher than his opponent, took control from the second - and after 48 minutes secured his 8-11, 11-7, 11-2, 11-3 title triumph.

The win marks the fifth PSA Tour title of Lee's career.
