Palmer To Face Leanza Today For Mamaroneck PST Title
from Tour Media

December 4, 2011
- David Palmer started slow but showed the capacity crowd at Westchester Squash Club why he has been the most dominant player of the past decade. He ran Ned Marks from corner to corner until he gave way. Ned showed his typical grit and determination that has made him a fan favorite at stops across the country. But, in the end Palmer was too much as he closed out the match and earned his place in the championship.

In the second semi-final of the night, TG Raubenheimer was greeted to a hero's welcome as he entered the court to play PST #3 Adrian Leanza. Raubenheimer was so strong in the first two frames and he kept Leanza at bay. Leanza, however, has quickly built a reputation as one of the fittest players on tour. And he is never to counted out, even when down two games to love. Tonight, showed why.

Leanza was a brick wall constantly picking up Raubenheimer's shots and extending the rallies. Raubenheimer, ever the gentleman on court, never appeared ruffled. But the capacity crowd sensed a shift in momentum in games three and four. And Leanza started to see opportunities. In his post game remarks he told the crowd, "I didn't expect to win. TG looked so good early on. I feels great to he here right now."

Leanza will face Palmer in the championship on Sunday at 1:30. The 3rd place match opens up the day and will be played at 12:30 at Westchester Squash Club in Mamaroneck, NY.
