January World Series Finals To Give Free Tickets To British Troops by Leigh Ireland
December 7, 2011-
The ATCO World Series Finals will salute British servicemen and women
by offering them free entry to the season’s number one
international squash event at Queen’s Club, London from 4th to
8th January 2012.
The renowned venue will play host to guests from HM Armed Forces for
the first time through Tickets for Troops, where the world’s
top-ranked male players will be joined by their female counterparts to
battle it out to be crowned end-of-season Champion.
Samantha Cameron, wife of the Prime Minister, David Cameron and patron
of Tickets for Troops: “Tickets for Troops has been a massive
success in terms of recognising the work and courage of our troops but
it has also rewarded those families whose support and love is crucial
in the frontline. I am delighted and privileged to support such an
excellent cause.”
Tim Garner, Director of tournament organiser Eventis: “The World
Series Finals are a showcase of the best that men’s and
women’s squash has to offer in the biggest end-of-season
tournament. It is fitting that we will be entertaining some of our most
courageous British heroes at one of London’s most traditional
venues, Queens Club.”
The new combination male and female format makes it one of the most
exciting and unique squash events ever and one which can truly boast a
roster of the world’s top professionals, including Men’s
World Champion Nick Matthew and Women’s World Champion Nicol
David.
