Tracy Gates Stops the Bleeding in Black Knight Squash Fiction Match

January 11, 2014 - Tracy J. Gates hammered out a 2-1 victory Friday in squash fiction play, gaining The Quill Shots their second point of the match and halting a six-chapter T Party run.

Gates opened up her Chapter 11 with a verse from a Spinners song and stuck to a tightly-woven couple of scenes, niftily avoiding the hyperbole which can creep into these things.

The T Party leads The Quill Shots 8-2 (PAR-11) entering Chapter 12 action.

In last week's Chapter 10 matchup, the T's Richard Millman staged a narrow 2-1 win, his second of the match.

The Millman point was sustained on appeal by challenge judges Barb Cooper and Sam Cornett.

Each squad has two challenges remaining.

Matthew Munich (Q) and Tom Oberdorfer (T) go at it this week in a re-match of their Chapter 5 encounter in which the T Party prevailed 2-1.
