Harrity Loses TOC Qualifying Final To South Africa's Coppinger

- 30th-ranked Stephen Coppinger of South Africa got past intercollegiate champion Todd Harrity last night in a one-sided qualifying final round match for the New York Tournament of Champions.

It was a dominant performance from the 27-year-old, sixth-year PSA tour veteran from Cape Town, who won by 11-3, 11-2 and 11-2 scores.

Coppinger had defeated Yasir Butt of Pakistan in first-round qualifying play, while Harrity had upset Mexico's Cesar Salazar.

Coppinger moves on to face Nicolas Mueller of Switzerland Saturday night in the main draw.
