Trinity Men Bounce Back To Stop Strong Harvard Team, 7-2
from David Kingsley

Hartford, Conn. January 21, 2011
– The Trinity College Bantams responded to their first loss in 14 years with a convincing 7-2 win over the No. 5-ranked Harvard University Crimson today at the George A. Kellner Squash Center.  Trinity improves to 9-1 on the season, while the Crimson fall to 10-2 on the year, with their 19th consecutive loss to the Bantams.

The Bantams grabbed a 1-0 lead when first-year Miled Zarazua Ramirez (Mexico City, Mexico) cruised to a 3-0 win in the No. 3 spot.  First-year Vrishab Kotian (Mumbai, India) and first-year Moustafa Hamada (Old Bridge, N.J.) came back from 2-0 and 2-1 deficits to earn wins at the No. 6 and No. 9 spots to give Trinity a 3-0 lead.  Trinity closed the door on the ensuing two matches, including the only other 3-0 individual win of the afternoon, by Trinity junior Reinhold Hergeth (Bloemfontein, South Africa).  Harvard sophomore Ali Faraq (Cairo, Egypt) took a 3-1 decision in the No. 1 spot for the Crimson.

Harvard was the last team to beat Trinity before Yale ended the Bantams string of 252 straight victories on Tuesday night.  Yale's most recent loss came to Harvard, a 5-4 defeat, in this year's preseason.

Trinity will host No. 4-ranked Rochester, No. 7 Dartmouth and No. 9 Penn, next Fri., Sat., and Sun., Jan. 27-29.
