Meguid Wins  Atlanta Open
from PSA Media

28 January 2013 - Omar Abdel Meguid celebrated the sixth PSA World Tour title of his career when he beat fellow Egyptian Andrew Wagih Shoukry in the final of the Atlanta Open, the PSA Challenger 10 squash event in its 13th year at the Lifetime Athletic Club in Atlanta in the US state of Georgia.

The fourth seed from Giza showed no effects of tiredness from his 100-minute semi-final upset the previous day over second-seeded Canadian Shawn Delierre.

"The first two games were close but in the third Omar raced to a 9-5 lead when Omar collided in the back of Andrew to give him an injury time out," explained tournament promoter Andre Maur. "Wagih never recovered and lost the game 11-5 to give Omar his first Atlanta Open title."
