Greenwich CT Schools Sweep At National Middle School Championships

January 30, 2012 - Teams from Greenwich, CT, swept all three division titles this past weekend at the 2012 U.S. Middle School Team Squash Championships held at Yale University in New Haven, CT. Brunswick won the Boy's Division 1 title, Greenwich Academy the Girls Division 1 crown, while Eastern Middle School earned the top prize in Boy's Division 2.
Brunswick dominated the draw, not dropping a single match throughout the weekend, including a 5-0 win in the final over Chestnut Hill Academy of Philadelphia. The Greenwich Academy Girl's were every bit as strong, sweeping through their matches, taking the championship with a 5-0 win over Greenwich Country Day School. Second seeded Eastern Middle School looked very strong on their way to the Boy's D2 title, winning a thrilling finals match, 3-2, against MS45 of the Bronx.
