January 4, 2011
- Britain’s James Willstrop will step out on court for the ATCO World Series Finals at Queen’s Club tomorrow as World No.1 for the first time ever. The World Series Squash Finals run from 4th – 8th January and feature the world’s top men and women at the iconic racket sports venue in London.

James Willstrop (Leeds) will be the man to beat this week after securing an outstanding victory at the recent World Series event in Delhi in December. The win moved him into pole position in the January Dunlop World Rankings ahead of fellow Yorkshireman, Nick Matthew, who has had to withdraw from the event due to injury.

James Willstrop joins London’s World No. 7 Peter Barker in the men’s draw.  Willstrop said, “I’m looking forward to proving myself again amongst the best players in the world and really enjoy the intensity and excitement of being on court in front of a passionate crowd at these big events.”

The top players from the WSA Women’s Tour will join their PSA men’s counterparts in a joint World Series Finals for the first time ever on 4th to 8th January 2012 at the prestigious Queen’s Club in West London.

In the women’s event, England’s Jenny Duncalf will look to take a first World Series Finals title, having maintained her World No.2 ranking below Nicol David (Malaysia), who has dominated the ladies game for the past five years.
