- Top-seeded Saurav Ghosal of India got past England's Oliver Pett in a sticky four-game quarter last night, while Canadian #2 Shawn Delierre fell to Pakistan's Yasir Butt in a lengthy, physical match.

Yoni Ellous files this report on the PSA Windy City Open quarterfinals:

Yasir Butt (Pak) bt Shawn Delierrre (Can) 11/7 9/11 11/9 9/11 11/9
Qualifier Yasir pulls another trick out of his hat after getting the best of Shawn in 5 games. Another physical match with lots of lets keeping the ref on edge. All in all a great game as Yasir continues on into the semi finals tomorrow at 4pm here in the Windy City.

Mohd Ali Anwar Reda (Egy) bt Arturo Salazar (Mex) 12/14 11/2 11/7 11/8
No Mexican fiesta tonight as Mohd Ali Anwar Reda puts a stop to Arturo runs. Arturo got the best of Mohd in the first game after a tie-breaker, only for Mohd to come out flying to take the second. Even though the third and fourth were evenly matched it was Mohd kicking into a higher gear at the end of each game. He will have to bring his A-game tomorrow as he takes on Pakistani wizard Yasir.

Alan Clyne (Sco) Ryan Cuskelly (Aus) 8/11 11/4 13/11 11/9
Now this is what we call a sturdy match. Both players delivering solid rails and hanging tough within the rallies. Not too many fancy plays or shots but Alan pushing Ryan to the max every game. After Ryan won a close first, Alan took over control winning the second comfortably. The third and fourth were very evenly matched but Alan getting the best of it in the end with some nice finishes . Now he will have to take on 6 time Indian Champion Saurav in the semis tomorrow.

Saurav Ghosal (Ind) v Oliver Pett (Eng) 5/11 11/7 11/4 14/12
Saurav manages to back up yesterdays performance with another tough 4 set match. Both played beautifully, moving the ball around well, attacking with precision and getting just about everything back. But in the end it was Sarurav that managed to out last Ollie to a standing ovation from the crowd.
