The Bantams, coached by Paul Assaiante (18th season), are 12-1 and have won four straight matches after suffering their first loss in nearly 14 years two weeks ago at Yale. Included among the four wins are a pair of 7-2 triumphs over No. 5-ranked Harvard and No. 4-ranked Rochester. Trinity has its most inexperienced team in years, after losing six starters and five All-Americans from last year's squad. Senior co-captain Vikram Malhotra (Mumbai, India), ranked No. 3 in the nation individually after last season, leads the group along with senior co-captain Antonio Gonzalez-Diaz (Mexico City, Mexico) who was ranked No. 24 nationally. Sophomore Matthew Mackin (Greenwich, Conn.) holds the team's best record at 13-0, while junior Juan Diego Lopez (Bogota, Colombia) is 8-0, and junior Reinhold Hergeth (Bloemfontein, South Africa) is 12-1. First-year Miled Zarazua (Mexico City, Mexico), 5-1, this winter has solidified the No. 3 spot in the lineup for the Bantams.

Princeton is 8-0 after edging Harvard, 5-4, in Cambridge on January 15. Junior Todd Harrity (Philadelphia, Pa.) was the top-ranked collegiate player at the end of last season, while senior Kelly Shannon (Calgary, Alberta) was ranked No. 9 nationally for the Tigers.
