20 February 2012-
Denmark's top seed Kristian Frost Olesen marked up the third PSA World
Tour title success of his career at The Move Open, the inaugural PSA
Challenger 5 squash event at Sportcenter the Move in Torhout, Belgium.
But the favourite was twice stretched to five games - firstly in the
quarter-finals when he squandered a two-game lead against Eddie
Charlton before beating the unseeded Englishman 11-8, 11-3, 7-11, 4-11,
11-7.
The 23-year-old from Odense faced another unseeded English opponent in
the final. Jaymie Haycocks made his breakthrough in the quarter-finals
where he defeated third-seeded Dutchman Dylan Bennett.
After Olesen took the first two games in the final, Haycocks staged a fight back to force a fifth game decider.
But the 28-year-old from Birmingham, ranked outside the world top 100,
was unable to capitalise on his turnaround as the Dane raised his game
to close out the match 11-9, 14-12, 3-11, 9-11, 11-8.
It was Olesen's first appearance in a Tour event since winning the PSA Challenger 5 Canary Islands Open in December.
