Mudge/Gould To Face Mathur/Leach In Finals Of $35K ISDA Johnson Memorial Doubles from DailySquashReport.com

Australian top seeds Damien Mudge and Ben Gould got past Chris Walker
and Mark Chaloner of England in a tight four games last night to
advance to this afternoon's championship match in the $35,000 David
Johnson Memorial in Brooklyn, New York.
They will take on the team of Manek Mathur of India and Clive Leach of
the UK, who came back from two games down against the second seeds
Yvain Badan of Switzerland and Matt Jenson of Australia to win 15-5 in
the fifth.
All four semi-finalist teams, the top four seeds in the event, won their quarterfinal matches in three.
Of note earlier in the event was the play of American singles star
Julian Illingworth, who with partner Todd Ruth won three tough
qualifying matches, including two down-to-the-wire five-gamers, before
being eliminated in the round of 16 by the sixth seeded team of Imran
Khan of Pakistan and Raj Nanda of Australia.
Today's final is set for 1pm EST.
