Long Time Rivals Sobhy And Blatchford To Clash Today In US National Closed Semis

March 10, 2012 - Second-seeded Amanda Sobhy of Sea Cliff, New York, will take on long time junior-years rival Olivia Blatchford of Wilton, Connecticut, in this afternoon's first semifinal at the US National Women's Closed Championships on the Harvard University campus.

The late match will feature top seed Natalie Grainger against Sabrina Sobhy.

Grainger is gunning for her sixth straight US title.

The event is closed to non-US citizens, and only nine players entered this year's edition.

Sobhy and Blatchford last met in a pro event in the qualifying finals of the 2011 Greenwich Open, with Amanda emerging a four-game winner.
