You are absolutely right in your stance ("US 'Closed' Nationals Needs To Be Opened To Everyone", 3-12).
Hopefully your article will spawn a change.
There are so few tournaments at that level where US players can benefit from competing with international players currently residing in the US.
Most of those international players won't step on court with US players unless there is $$$ involved.
