Ubina, Sobhy, Staight-Set Finalists In Today's National Closed U-19s

- Girls U-19s top seed Maria Ubina and second seeded Sabrina Sobhy each straight-gamed their way through yesterday's quarters and semis to set up today's 11:00am national closed championship clash on the glass at Yale University.

Ubina beat Camille Lanier 11-5 11-6 11-7 in her quarter and overcame Reeham Sedky 11-8 11-7 11-8 in the semis.

Sedky, from Washington state, was playing up in age, having won the US Junior Open Girls Under-15 title in December and reaching the finals last month of the JCT Massachusetts U-19s, where she defeated Ubina in the semis.

Sobhy, also playing up in age, beat Nina Scott 11-3 11-5 11-7 in her quarter and Katie Tutrone by 11-3 11-8 11-9 in her semifinal.

Neither Ubina or Sobhy has surrendered a game en route to the title match.
