The Olympic Games Bid: A Writer's View
from Andrew Shelley, Chief Executive, World Squash Federation
March 20, 2012
Dear All,
Our Olympic bid continues to gain momentum
in a number of ways, and sometimes it includes support from respected
outsiders that help us too.
Alan Hubbard is just such a journalist.
Howard Harding (our World Squash Media Director) and myself got
together with him a short while ago, and he has since written a few
really supportive articles.
The latest has appeared in Around The
Rings, an influential website viewed by everybody with Olympic
connections, and details our case for inclusion really well contrasting
with other sports and focusing upon the Nick Matthew / James Willstrop
rivalry. If you want to remind yourself of some of the reasons why
squash would be a good addition to the Olympic Games programme do read
it. You can view it at: http://squash2020.com/latest-news/?tw_p=twt
While writing, if you have a website or
facebook page it would really help us to show that the whole sport is
behind the bid if you could add the bid logo (attached) to your
website, and link it to www.squash2020.com
