Job Opening: Assistant Pro, Westchester County, New York

The Westchester Country Club in Rye, New York
is currently seeking two extremely motivated Assistant Squash
Professionals to start in June 2012. These positions will be
responsible for assisting our Squash Professional in ensuring our Club
continues to grow and expand its successful Squash program. In
particular one position will have a special focus on expanding our
current Junior Girls program, and the other will be focused on the
Junior Boys program, where we are seeing increased demand. Both
positions will encompass some logistical and administrative duties, but
will essentially focus on coaching duties, for various levels of
players. Coaching duties will include working with adult and Junior
groups and teaching private lessons; assisting in the running of
various tournaments and helping to increase participation within the
Squash program at all levels. Additionally, there will be a minimal
amount of time required working as a squash coach with local schools.
Applicants should have:
• Strong coaching ability with all levels of Squash players
• Strong leadership ability to take charge of the
girls or boys Squash program (children clinics are organized by age
group, from age 5 to 16)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Solid computer skills to generate lesson reports and maintain attendance registries.
• Good financial acumen and salesmanship to help grow the Squash business
