2012 U.S. Open Dates Announced

March 6, 2012 - U.S. Squash has announced the 2012 Delaware Investments U.S. Open Squash Championships will be held October 4th-12th at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. This will be the second consecutive year the most prestigious squash tournament in the country will be held at the Drexel’s Daskalakis Athletic Center in Philadelphia, where a portable all-glass squash court will be constructed. Drexel University will also play host to the Championships in 2013.
The U.S. Open will once again feature the Men’s and Women’s Championships, with the top players in the world competing for nearly $200,000 in prize money. The event will be streamed on Squash TV and be broadcasted by 17 distributors worldwide, reaching a potential audience of 300 million people. WatchESPN.com will also broadcast the semi-finals and finals of the Championships online, reaching 60 million households.
Main round matches on the glass court will begin Saturday, October 6th. Qualifying rounds will take place October 4th-5th, at Philadelphia area squash clubs. Tickets for the 2012 Delaware Investments U.S. Open Squash Championships will go on sale May 1st , 2012.
