Grainger, Sobhy Entered In US Women's Championship by DailySquashReport.com March 8, 2012-
Former world #1 Natalie Grainger of Greenwich, Connecticut, and newly
crowned intercollegiate champion Amanda Sobhy of New York are the top
two seeds in the US Women's Championship (open to US citizens only)
which gets underway today on the campus of Harvard University.
The 34-year-old Grainger retired from the world tour at the end of 2010. She attained the number one ranking in June 2003.
Sobhy is 18-years-old and is currently ranked 26th by the WSA.
Also in the draw, which contains a total of only nine entrants, are
Olivia Blatchford of Connecticut, the WSA's 45th-ranked player, and
15-year-old Sabrina Sobhy, currently ranked 87th.
