The Heights Casino is set in Brooklyn Heights,
a wonderful neighborhood to live and work. It has a long history in
squash and a thriving junior and adult program. It has 6 singles
courts, 1 doubles court, 2 indoor tennis courts and fitness center,
along with many other areas like dining and entertainment.
We are currently
seeking a full time assistant squash professional that specializes in
hard ball doubles squash. This candidate will mainly work with adult
members and doubles squash within the Heights Casino.
There will be
flexibility to play SDA or WSDA pro doubles tournaments if candidate
would like to compete on the pro doubles tour.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Developing the adult squash program: doubles and singles. -Playing/arranging doubles/singles matches. -Running events/tournaments in doubles and singles. -Running the club singles league. -Assisting with our pro women’s singles and pro men’s doubles events. -Co-coordinating the singles and doubles league teams. -Travelling to the junior US Doubles Championships to coach our juniors. Ideal Candidate will have:
-High level of knowledge and skill in doubles and singles squash. -Experience in coaching/instructing squash. -Excellent communication and organizational skills. -Experience with building a squash program. -2-3 years of coaching experience. -US citizen, green card or visa holders preferred but not necessary. -Professional national/international playing experience (preferred though not necessary). -A genuine love of squash and ability to teach all ages and levels.
