Aamir Atlas Chases Fourth Title In Islamabad by Howard Harding

Aamir Atlas Khan successfully began his bid to win a fourth COAS
International title when he beat fellow Pakistani Shamsul Islam Khan in
today's first round of the PSA World Tour Challenger 10 squash event in
its tenth year at the Mushaf Squash Complex in the Pakistan capital
Islamabad.
Champion in 2008, 2009 and 2010, top seed
Aamir Atlas despatched his qualifier opponent 11-6, 11-3, 11-6 and will
now face fellow Peshawar-based Waqas Mehboob for a place in the
semi-finals.
In the other half of the draw, Farhan
Mehboob - one of three Mehboob brothers in the draw - set up a
quarter-final clash with the defending champion Nasir Iqbal.
Second seed Farhan beat fellow countryman
Aqib Hanif 11-9, 11-4, 11-7, while 2011 champion Iqbal defeated
qualifier Syed Ali Shah Bokhari 11-2, 11-8, 11-1.
