Top Seeds Camille Serme, Annie Au, Samantha Teran Into Texas Open Second Round

April 19, 2012 - All the cards fell as expected tonight in the Champion Fiberglass 2012 WSA Texas Open save for the match between Kippax and Fialova which was hotly contested, very physical and resulted in Fialova upsetting the favored Kippax in a real rocker.
Fialova joins seven seeds in the quarter-finals, where she meets Kiwi Joelle King, the winner of that to face Hong Kong's second seed Annie Au or Australian Melody Francis, who both beat American opposition in straight games.
Home hopes now rest with veteran Latasha Khan, who won a tough four-game encounter with Victoria Lust and now meets top seed Camille Serme of France.
The remaining quarter-final pitches together third and fifth seeds Samantha Teran and Donna Urquhart who, along with Serme, enjoyed straight-game round one wins.
