- In the April 2012 WSA (Women's Squash Association) world rankings, Nicol David of Malaysia maintains her #1 position, having exactly double the number of average ranking points over her nearest rival Jenny Duncalf of England, 3,400 to 1,700 points.

Laura Massaro of England and Madeline Perry of Ireland traded places, Laura moving up from #4 to #3 and Madeline moving down from #3 to #4. Raneem El Weleily of Egypt and Rachael Grinham of Australian maintain their #5 and #6 postions respectively.

Annie Au of Hong Kong, finalist at this past weekend's $70,000 CIMB Nicol David KL Open, jumps up three places from #10 to #7 in the world. Kasey Brown of Australia moves down one from #7 to #8, while Natalie Grinham of the Netherlands drops from #8 to #9 - and Camille Serme of France from #9 to #10. Samantha Teran of Mexico maintains her #11 position, with Joelle King of New Zealand and Wee Wern Low of Malaysia maintaining there #12 and #13 positions respectively.

The biggest news in the rankings are with the "youngsters: of the game. Dipika Pallikal of India moves up to her highest position ever, from #15 to #14 in the world. And, the junior phenom from Egypt, Nour El Sherbini, the youngest player ever to win the world junior championship (age 13), and current British Open Junior champion, moves up seven places from #23 to #16 in the world, exactly the number of years she's been on earth!

The rest of the field pretty-much maintain their former positions.
