Samantha Teran At The 2008 WISPA LA Open

April 5, 2012
- In the latest (April 1, 2012) world squash rankings, (PSA / WSA) we found no less than 23 North American men and women squash-players in the world's top 20. Interestingly, over half of them have appeared at The Los Angeles Athletic Club at one time or other.

Regarding the American players, there are two men and six women, with three Canadian men, five Canadian women and three men and four women from Mexico completing the list.

Interestingly, it's Samantha Teran from Mexico leading the pack! Samantha won The LAAC's  2008 WISP LA Open. Turning 31 on may 6th, Samantha has been the #1 squash-player in Mexico for over a dozen years!

Added to Samantha's twelve pro Tour titles are Gold Medals at the Pan American Games, as well as earning four Golds in the Central American and Caribbean Games. In 2011 Samantha reached the semi-finals of the 2011 World Open, becoming the first player from Mexico ever to do so.

See below for the complete list of the North Americans who are among the top 100 squash-players in the world...
