Strong Men's Field Surfaces As New York Hyder Cup Draw Released

May 10, 2012 - The 44th staging of the Hyder Trophy pro event in New York City will feature an assortment of current and past international pro stars.

World #13 Alister Walker is the number one seed.

Walker is riding a hot hand, having won his last two PSA events, the Berkshire and Irish Opens.

Shahier Razik of Toronto is seeded second, followed by former world #8 Wael El Hindi, now of the PST.

New York-based Australian rising star Ryan Cuskelly is seeded fourth, and fellow-Aussie Zac Alexander is fifth.

Floating around in the draw are Bradley Ball of the PST, former UK star Clive Leach, and the dangerous Shawn Delierre of Montreal.

A twelve-man qualifier begins Tuesday followed by first round Main Draw action on Wednesday.

The men's tournament payout is:

Winner - $3000

Finalist - $1500

Semis Losers - $1250

Quarters Losers - $625
