Job Opening: Squash Director, Bermuda

The Bermuda Squash Racquets Association (“BSRA”) wishes to recruit an Assistant Director of Squash to assist with all aspects of the organization, administration and development and coaching of squash and fitness at the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association.

The Assistant Director of Squash will be responsible for coaching the Bermuda junior and adult national teams, as well as squash players of all ages and levels of ability.

The Assistant Director of Squash’s duties will include, but are not limited to:

•    Organizing of national junior and senior representative teams including management, fundraising, selection and coaching;
•    Providing structured coaching to players of all ages and standards in groups and individually;
•    Provide a racquets restringing service for BSRA Members;
•    Deputizing for the Manager and the Director of Squash;
•    Assisting with BSRA administrative duties;
•    Assisting with the organization of squash tournaments;
•    Developing coaching and officiating skills of the BSRA members;
•    Assisting the Director of Squash in the development of long-term plans;
•    Assisting the Director of Squash in the development of sponsorships and government support;
•    Upholding of BSRA rules

The successful applicant will be a certified squash coach (preferably SRA Level III) with a successful record of coaching junior and adult players. As the majority of members work during the day, a willingness to work most weekday evenings and weekends is essential.

Remuneration by way of retainer (amount dependant on experience) and coaching fees and will depend ultimately on the coach’s efforts.
