THE ORGANIZATION

The Baltimore Country Club, founded in 1898, is a private 3000+ member club located in Baltimore, Maryland USA.  It maintains two magnificent clubhouse facilities seven miles apart.  BCC’s sports facilities include two championship 18-hole golf courses; 10 tennis courts; 6 bowling alleys; 2 international singles squash courts and 1 hardball doubles squash court; 3 swimming pools; 2 platform tennis courts; 2 state of the art fitness centers, and a full range of food and beverage facilities.  Baltimore Country Club has been ranked on the top 10 list of 5 star premier platinum clubs in the country and is consistently ranked as one of the best clubs in the country.  The Club hosts an annual Professional squash tour event.


POSITION SUMMARY


Baltimore is in the heart of squash and tennis on the east coast.   The Head Squash professional shall support the Racquets Director in running all racquet programs, (Squash, Tennis, Platform Tennis)  including the areas of teaching lessons, clinics, pro shop management, tournaments, event direction, exhibitions, court maintenance, and other similar duties expected of a professional at a world-class facility.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
 

A.    Lead junior program including:  junior clinics, junior events, junior inter-clubs, and junior camps. We have several junior members that are national champions.

B.    Lead in the operation and running of a first class instructional program for all groups and levels of players which would include beginning through advanced instruction for our ladies and gentlemen’s groups to enhance broad based membership participation and growth of racquet sports.

C.   Assist in the administrative tasks of helping run the professional shops such as but not limited to: supervising the opening and closing of our racquets facilities, the proper charging of member and guest’s fees, the administration of courts reservations and the enforcement of the club’s rules and regulations governing the use of the club facilities, its equipment and property.

D.   Assist in the operation and maintenance pro shop featuring quality merchandise and service commensurate with the identity of the BCC.

E.    Responsible for assisting in the promotion of the club and dissemination of hospitality, friendliness, and good will amongst members and guests of the BCC.  Will assist in the promotion of all racquet sports.


Needed Background


We are looking for a professional that must possess high energy, high integrity, high ethics, a friendly outgoing personality, and a member first attitude who absolutely loves to serve members.  Must have experience working with juniors and adults of all abilities.  Must have the ability to work on multiple tasks while providing first class friendly service to our members.  College Degree preferred, Computer skills including, Word, Excel, etc.  Hard ball Doubles Squash experience is preferred due to the large number of members who play.  Ability to teach tennis would also be beneficial to help with the tennis program during tennis season.
