May 24, 2013 - Egyptian squash star Mohamed Elshorbagy has joined forces with one of the world’s leading court manufacturers by becoming a Product Ambassador for Courtwall Innovation.

The 22-year-old Elshorbagy, the current world No.5, was runner-up to compatriot Ramy Ashour in December’s World Championship in Qatar and is set to represent his country in the forthcoming World Team Championships in France.

He said: “I am really happy and excited about signing with Courtwall Innovation. I think they build the best squash courts around the world. For example, the all-glass court used at the Canary Wharf Classic is considered one of the best on the PSA World Tour.

“Courtwall is building glass courts and standard courts in many squash clubs worldwide and the distributor network does work like a family. I am glad to be a member of this family now.”

Wolfgang Denk, the founder and owner of Courtwall, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mohamed to the Courtwall team.
“He and his younger brother, Marwan, are double world junior champions (Mohamed winning in 2008-09 and Marwan in 2010-11).

“After a short period on the PSA World Tour, Mohamed has climbed to number five in the rankings.

“Mohamed has a great future in the sport – in fact, players like him ARE the future of our game.

“After meeting Mohamed and watching him play, I was impressed by his attitude and his personality. He is showing a massive commitment in the way he works hard to finish his university degree in Bristol, and combining his studies with life on the World Tour.

“He is prepared to work hard for his success. No big words - just outstanding performances.

“This is a similar to Courtwall’s philosophy. We are very excited to have a new son in our family, and will try to support him to reach his goal to climb up four more steps in PSA ranking list.”
