Razik Over Delierre To Retain Canadian Nationals Crown, Ranieri Beats Cornett For Women's Title

- Toronto's Shahier Razik maintained his stranglehold on the number one Canadian men's ranking with a five-set win over Shawn Delierre yesterday in the Morris Group Canadian Nationals at Niagra-on-the-Lake.

The fifth game was marred by an abundance of blocking and referee involvement, but Razik did just enough to come through it for his sixth Canadian title.

The 34-year-old Razik previously won the event in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Second-seeded  Miranda Ranieri beat top seed Sam Cornett in three to capture the women's national crown.
