Vaccines
by Nick-At-Will

Did you realize that there are 13 immunization vaccines now given to the children of the United States!

Hopefully...there will soon be a 14th vaccine...for the Coronavirus, Covid-19!

For obvious safety and health reasons, perhaps all junior squash tournaments, play and practice should be postponed until this dreaded virus is controlled and/or prevented. As we all know, squash is currently played in a relatively closed area...where many types of bacterial and viral infections may occur and be transmitted. Is playing squash worth having children subject to such infections? We think not! The Professional Squash Association (PSA) has now canceled most of their men's and women's pro squash-events for 2020. Many other countries have canceled all their pro and amateur squash events as well! And...U.S. Squash is canceling all remaining junior squash-tournaments on their calendar through the Labor Day weekend. It remains to be seen what the high-schools, leagues and colleges will do with their squash programs and/or schedules!

It should be understood that caution (An once of prevention is worth a pound of cure) be used if/when allowing a junior squash-player to participate, play, practice and/or take squash-lessons. Remember...there is no guarantee that persons with-whom they are associating with isn't carrying the Coronavirus Covid-19...and not know it!

Perhaps having junior squash-players delay their participation in playing, practicing and/or taking squash-lessons in enclosed squash-courts may just be the best decision made until a vaccine for this dreaded virus can be developed and administered!
