Job Opening: Squash Director
Ottawa Athletic Club (Ottawa, Ontario)
June 18. 2011
Description:
The 150,000 sq. ft. Ottawa Athletic Club was established in 1976 and
since its inception has continuously endeavored to uphold the
traditional values of a private family oriented club by offering
superior service and the most complete combination of programs,
equipment and activities to its members.
The facility includes 6 squash courts, 2 racquetball courts, 8 indoor
and 6 outdoor tennis courts, a 12,000 sq. ft. indoor golf school,
indoor and outdoor salt water pools, a 20,000 sq. ft. exercise and
training area
(featuring a 143 m indoor running track), sports store, café, physio centre, spa and much more.
With a view towards both improving the quality of service provided and
maintaining its place as a leader in the fitness industry the OAC has
recently undergone a $4,000,000 transformation. Completely
overhauled locker rooms, a new and inviting entrance and members lounge
area, an entirely new fleet of strength and cardio equipment, and new
squash court doors and flooring are but a few of the highlights of the
renovation project.
The Ottawa Athletic Club’s squash program is a very active one
with programming for both adults and juniors alike. We offer
clinics and round robins for adults, a hugely popular Monday night
house league and social evening, and a box league that allows members
to connect with fellow squash players. Adult squash members also
have the opportunity to participate in a city-wide league that connects
different squash clubs in the Ottawa area. Our junior squash
program introduces the sport to our younger participants in the form of
12 week clinics for ages 8 to 17, and by way of private lessons with
our squash professional (s).
The OAC strives to employ top professionals in the industry that will

club. With that in mind, the club’s new
