The Sleepy Hollow Country Club is currently seeking an ambitious Head
Squash Professional to start August 1, 2011. SHCC anticipates the
completion of a new indoor sports facility in October, 2011. This
facility will feature (3) singles and (1) doubles ASB brand squash
courts, a fitness area and a paddle tennis gathering facility. We will
continue to utilize our current non-regulation size squash facility
until the new complex is completed.
The Head Squash Professional will be charged with building the SHCC
Squash program into one of the leading programs in the metropolitan
area as measured by participation, member satisfaction, player ability,
and reputation. The essential duties and responsibilities of this
position include program development, marketing to the membership,
teaching, administration, pro-shop management, and supervisory
responsibilities. A junior development professional position will
provide teaching support.
The Sleepy Hollow Country Club, a private club, built on a Vanderbilt
estate in 1893, is a longstanding “Platinum” (Top 100 Most
Prestigious in the USA) country club. SHCC features an 18-hole golf
course (top 100 classic designs in the USA), a 9-hole golf course, golf
teaching facility, tennis and pool complex, paddle tennis facility,
shooting facility, extensive indoor and outdoor horse riding complex,
guest rooms, ballroom and 2 restaurants.

Applicants must have:
- Documented, current or recent, International or US National high ranking.
- 4 Year college graduate preferred
- Established reputation as a superior teacher (supporting documents required)
- Total interest and commitment in developing juniors
to the highest competitive
playing levels
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Solid computer skills
- Good business/marketing skills to grow our squash business
