- The team has really come together in a great way after a week long training camp at the Granite Club in Toronto. We have been here in Boston since Sunday and have had some great practices to prepare us for the individuals. We are looking forward to the opening matches today....

Today at 11:45 am EST
Abbey Foster (from North Vancouver) plays Chloe Pearson from England.  Abbey has come on very strong over the last year with some great results. She is young but experienced, having competed in several international competitions. Abbey looks forward to this likely tough but certainly winnable match.

Today at 11:45 am EST
Hollie Naughton (from Oakville, Ontario) plays Laura Kutsch of Germany. Hollie has represented Canada before but this is her first World Juniors. She has gotten physically stronger over the year and is focused, tenacious and determined. I look forward to a nice win from Hollie.

Today at 4:45 pm EST
Michelle Gemmell (from Toronto) has a tough first round match against Yan Xin Tan (9/16 seed). These girls played in the British Open when Michelle was only 9 years old. Michelle is not the favourite in this match but I think with some good focus and patience Michelle can put her years of international competition into practice and can win this match.

Today at 7pm EST
Danielle Letourneau (the national junior champion from Calgary) has had a great year in Canadian squash. She has even improved throughout the training camp and pre-tourny hits here in Boston. She plays the winner of Abbie Palmer (Nzl) and Lume Landman(Rsa). I think she is ready to win this opening match at her second World Juniors appearance.
