College Squash Exposure Event At Yale This Weekend

July 20, 2012 - Lefika Ragontse and the Dread Sports Team are proud to present the second annual College Squash Exposure Tournament! The tournament will be held at Yale University from July 20th-22nd. If playing squash in college is something that you are interested in, then the College Squash Exposure Tournament is the perfect tournament for you! The tournament provides a unique opportunity to meet and play in front of college coaches from across the nation. Junior squash players will have the opportunity to speak with coaches before or after the tournament, as well as get a first hand look at the recruiting process.
We are also excited to announce the launch of NotYetPro.com at the tournament this weekend. NotYetPro provides squash athletes with an online location to assemble, organize, and showcase their statistical information, videos and pictures for fans, coaches and scouts. The website is similar in scope to existing social networks, however the focus is strictly on amateur athletics. Coaches can view athletes from around the world and easily see their talents.
Dread Sports and NotYetPro are both committed to growing the sport of squash. NotYetPro puts the growth of the sport in the community's own hands.
To kick off our weekend we will have a brief meet and greet with some of the college coaches that will be in attendance. We encourage all players in attendance to send us your top five school choices and as much information as you feel comfortable giving, and we will be in touch with the coaches of those schools. Along with choices those planning to attend should email their time of arrival as well as T-shirt size.
The CSE weekend will proceed as follows:
Friday: Players Arrive
4pm-6pm Registration and Hit around on courts.
6pm- 7pm Information Session with Pamela Saunders, Associate Head Coach for Men's and Women's Squash. Yale University.
7pm Coaches meet and greet.
Saturday: Day 1 of Tournament
9am Tournament Start
3pm Afternoon Yale Campus Tour
4pm Talk about Admission Process
Sunday: Tournament Finals
9am Matches Start
Farewell and Trophy Ceremony
