August 12, 2011 - World #31 Latasha Khan of Seattle is the #1 seed in the WISPA Mohawk Open beginning today in eastern Long Island.
Rounding out the top seeds in the international field are #34 Joshna Chinappa of India, #54 Sina Wall of Germany, and #61 Samantha Cornett of Canada.
In an intriguing first-round match-up, Khan takes on talented 14-year-old Sabrina Sobhy, a member of the US junior team that placed 2nd at the world championships last month.
