Egypt, England Currently So Dominant That
Their B-Teams Would Challenge For World Title from DailySquashReport.com
August 21, 2011-
Egypt and England currently dominate the men’s pro game to such a
degree that their “B” teams--their players left off their
world championships rosters--would finish at worst in the top six, and
easily the top four in the 2011 World Team Championships that begin
today in Germany.
An English squad made up of Adrian Grant, Jonathan Kemp and
Tom Richards, and an Egyptian contingent of Amr Shabana, Omar Masaad
and Wael El Hindi would create substantial match-up problems for nearly
every national team.
Based on August PSA world rankings, only France and Australia, besides
the English and Egyptian official "A" teams, would present legitimate
challenges to those two countries' “B” teams in this
competition.
In addition, according to ranking form, ALL the members of the Egyptian
“B” team would play #1 for 26 of the 32 countries entered
in these world championships.
This includes the USA and Canada.
And ALL members of the English “B” team would play #1 for
24 of the 32 countries represented, also including the USA and Canada.
