Update: US Shakes Up Lineup

#3
Todd Harrity v Andrew Schnell

A surprise move by Assaiante to play collegian Harrity over the experienced Lane.

It might pay off but it pushes Gordon up to the #2 slot.

#1
Julian Illingworth versus Shahier Razik

Illingworth is ranked #32 by the PSA, Razik is ranked #29.

Both players struggled in qualifying play. Illingworth lost a lop-sided match to Nicolas Mueller of Switzerland, who he handled in the recent Australian Open. Julian also lost in five yesterday to #50 Stephane Galifi of Italy, a meaningless match in the standings, but a win might have carried over into today.

Razik lost a gruelling 81-minute match to Alan Clyne of Scotland and then got zipped by Mexico’s Cesar Salazar. He sat out yesterday's match, after Canada had clinched.

Illingworth’s confidence may not be fully recovered after losing badly in this month’s Australian 2nd round to Laurens Jan Anjema of the Netherlands, a player he defeated in three in February. However, Julian has beaten Razik twice in 2011 in PSA events.

Razik will give it everything he has on the retrieving end, but Illingworth will have the ball control edge.

#80 Chris Gordon v #54 Shawn Delierre

Two hard-nosed tour veterans, with Delierre possibly just a bit more talented.
