August 1st, 2016 - Australian Zac Alexander has been named Squash Player’s Male Player of the Month for August after winning his seventh successive event on the PSA Tour.

When the Brisbane-based 27-year-old beat Korea’s Ko Youngjo in the final of the Tasmanian Open in July, it was his 30th Tour victory in a row.

“I think I have found the right balance between work, training and down time now; not overloading any of them is important,” he explained.

“It’s great to finally be back living in Brisbane, where I grew up, so I feel settled after being home this year.

“Obviously the 12-month span without losing a match is a cool thing to say I’ve done, but I also understand I am only playing 5k events, while when I was ranked in the 30s a few years ago, I was playing a different standard, but that experience has helped me greatly to achieve what I’ve just done.”

His main aims now are to play for Australia in the World Team Championship in 2017 and in his home Commonwealth Games in 2018 on the Gold Coast.
