17-Year-Old Olivia Fiechter Earns Final Spot On US Women's Team

September 23, 2012 - Olivia Fiechter won all three of her matches, including a decisive 10-12, 11-7, 11-7, 11-4, win over Maria Elena Ubina, to claim the final spot on the U.S. Women's team that will compete at the 2012 Women’s World Team Championship which will take place November 12th- 17th in Nimes, France.

Playing at the brand new Chelsea Piers in Stamford CT, Fiechter, the 17 year old from Philadelphia, PA, dominated the action over the weekend, defeating all three of her opponents in a the round robin format, to join Natalie Grainger, Sabrina Sobhy and Kristen Lange on the U.S. team.
