Moverly emerged victorious Thursday in final round qualifying play in
the inaugural women's edition of the $125,000 NetSuite Open in
California.
Landers-Murphy knocked off Latasha Khan in three, Tomlinson overcame
Aisling Blake in four, Maria Toorpakai upset Nouran El Torky in four,
and in the most entertaining match of the day Moverly rallied to beat
top qualifying seed Coline Aumard 11-9 in the 5th.
Friday's women's first round main draw matches include Amanda Sobhy v
Samantha Teran, Kanzy El Defrawy v Tesni Evans, and Dipika Pallikal v
Olivia Blatchford.
