September 8, 2011-
The Pro Squash Tour (PST) has announced that it will hold its
tour championship in Detroit May 4–6, 2012 at the Detroit
Athletic Club.
The championship event will be an eight-man draw, comprised of the
overall points leaders at the conclusion of the 18-event US-based
2011-12 season.
Bradley Ball of England is the defending PST champion. He is currently serving a 30-day suspension for referee dissent.
“The Detroit Athletic Club is one of the nation’s great,
historic clubs,” said the PST’s Joe McManus.
“The Pro Squash Tour is pleased to be partnering with this
magnificent institution to crown our tour’s next champion.”
McManus said the DAC has shaped more than 120 years of Detroit history
since it was established in 1887, and has played host to regional,
national and international tournaments and exhibitions, from boxing and
fencing to swimming and squash.
