US Squash Lands Delaware Investments As US Open Title Sponsor

- US Squash has announced the signing of Delaware Investments as the lead sponsor for this month’s US Open Championships.

The event will take place September 30th through October 6th at the Daskalakis Athletic Center on the campus of Drexel University in Philadelphia.

According to US Squash, Delaware Investments has agreed to a multi-year sponsorship deal involving the tournament.

The firm's CEO Patrick P. Coyne said, “As a global asset manager, we are excited to be involved with a sport that has such a strong global reach. Squash is an intense, competitive, fast –paced sport-similar to money management these days. We identify with these world-class athletes as we also strive every day to excel for the benefit of our clients. We look forward to our partnership with US Squash and to showing the local community that this week there’s more than one ball game in town.”

Delaware Investments is a member of Macquarie Group, an asset management firm in control of $155 billion in assets as of June 30th.

The US Open will feature a 32-player men’s draw and a 16-player women’s field.

Total prize money is $175,000, with $115,000 going to the men and $60,000 to the women.

The tournament will be streamed worldwide on psasquashtv.com, with the semifinals and finals also being streamed on ESPN3.

Fox Television will also be broadcasting the event in Australia and Malaysia.
