PSA Appoints Nathan Clarke PR and Communications Manager from Tour Media

- The Professional Squash Association have expanded their executive
team with the appointment of Nathan Clarke as their new PR and
Communications Manager.
Clarke, 24, joins The
PSA having spent the last three and a quarter years as Media Executive
for The RFL, governing body of rugby league, and will work closely with
PSA CEO Alex Gough, COO Lee Beachill and Marketing and Commercial
Manager Jeremy Milnes to help increase the profile and visibility of
the PSA World Tour.
“Nathan joins the PSA
at a very exciting time and I am sure his experience and skill set will
prove to be a valuable resource for both the PSA and the sport of
squash in general," said PSA Chief Executive Alex Gough.
"We have worked hard
to expand the PSA staff force over the past 12 months and we’re
delighted that Nathan has become the latest member of the PSA team,
following the appointment of three staff members in April.
“Nathan comes to the
PSA with a strong background in the media and social media sectors and
experience of working for a major sport in Britain and we see his
appointment as a key development of our long term strategy.
“We are looking forward to working closely with him to increase the sport’s media profile over the coming months and years.”
Northern-Irish man
Clarke, who will be based at the PSA head office in Leeds, England
said: “I’m delighted and excited to join the PSA team and I’m looking
forward to the challenges that lay ahead.
“There is a dynamic
and energetic staff force working behind the scenes of the PSA World
Tour and I’m relishing the opportunity of working closely with them to
help expand the presence and profile of the PSA World Tour, and the
sport of squash, around the world.”
Nathan Clarke was born
in Castlederg, Northern Ireland and is a former pupil of Strabane
Grammar School. He graduated from the University of Huddersfield in
2010 having completed a Media and Sports Journalism degree. From 2009
to 2010 he worked as a writer for Singletrack Mountain Bike Magazine.
He is a keen squash player, ex-rugby union player and current captain of the Ireland Wheelchair Rugby League team.
