John White/John Russell Among First Round Qualifiers In $20K Maryland Club Open Doubles

October 12, 2012 - Former singles world #1 John White of Philadelphia and partner John Russell were among those advancing yesterday to the qualifying finals of the $20,000 SDA Maryland Club Open in Baltimore.
White and Russell will take on Dan Roberts of Ireland and Graham Bassett of the US this afternoon for a spot in the main draw.
Top-seeds in the event are world #1s Damien Mudge and Ben Gould of Australia.
The event is the first full-ranking tournament of the SDA season. It runs through Sunday.
